Instead of throwing your unwanted clothes away, or letting them collect dust in the back of your closet, clean them and drop them off at a local charity collection center. They will have a useful second life with someone else before being recycled or thrown away.

Take stacks of old magazines to your city's local recycling center. Or offer them up on Freecycle.
